Specific Angle Grinder Safety
- Always use the protective guard. Ensure it is correctly positioned and securely fastened.
- Use only discs that are rated for the maximum speed of the grinder and are suitable for the material being worked on.
- Never use cutting discs for side grinding.
- Be aware of the anti-kickback feature; if the disc jams, the motor will shut off. Release the switch and clear the obstruction before restarting.
- Allow the disc to come to a complete stop using the mechanical brake before setting the tool down.

Attaching the SoftVib Handle
The SoftVib handle can be screwed into either the left or right side of the gearbox housing, depending on user preference and application. Ensure it is tightened securely.

Installing the Grinding/Cutting Disc

- To switch on, push the slide switch forward. For continuous operation, push it further forward until it locks into place.
- To switch off, release the slide switch. If locked, press the rear part of the switch to release it.

The speed selection dial (Figure 2) allows you to adjust the no-load speed between 2800 and 11500 rpm. Select the appropriate speed for the material and application. Lower speeds are generally used for polishing or working with sensitive materials, while higher speeds are for cutting and grinding.
Using the Mechanical Brake
The integrated mechanical brake stops the disc within 3.5 seconds after the tool is switched off. This enhances safety by quickly stopping rotation.
Working with the Grinder
