Your Orient Ray 2 watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement. If the watch has stopped, it requires initial winding to start. To wind the watch manually:
- Unscrew the crown counter-clockwise until it is free from the case.
- In position 1 (normal position, unscrewed), rotate the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will provide sufficient power reserve to start the watch.
- Gently push the crown back in and screw it clockwise until it is securely tightened against the case. This ensures water resistance.
Alternatively, wearing the watch for several hours will also wind the movement through natural wrist motion.

To set the time and date on your watch:
- Unscrew the crown counter-clockwise until it is free from the case.
- Pull the crown out to position 2. This is the date setting position. Rotate the crown to set the day and date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement.
- Pull the crown out further to position 3. This is the time setting position. The second hand will stop (hacking feature). Rotate the crown to set the hour and minute hands. Ensure the AM/PM is correctly set by observing if the date changes when passing midnight.
- Once the time and date are set, gently push the crown back into position 1 and screw it clockwise until it is securely tightened against the case.

When worn regularly (approximately 8 hours a day), the watch will maintain its power reserve.
