2. Ohutusalane teave

5. Seadistamine

  1. Toiteühendus: Insert a 9V battery into the battery compartment located on the underside of the unit, observing polarity. Alternatively, connect a compatible 9V DC power adapter (not included) to the DC input jack.
  2. Raadioühendus: Connect the supplied RJ-45 cable to the microphone's output port. Connect the other end of the cable (RJ-45 or bare wires, depending on your radio model) to the microphone input of your ICOM, YAESU, or Kenwood radio. Refer to your radio's manual for specific wiring diagrams if using bare wires.
  3. Paigutus: Place the microphone on a stable, flat surface away from sources of interference. Adjust the gooseneck microphone to a comfortable speaking position.

6. Kasutusjuhised

6.1 Power On/Off and Battery Test

  • To power on the unit, press the power button. The battery test circuit will briefly display the battery charge level and supply voltage.

6.2 Dynamic Vocal Compressor

The integrated dynamic vocal compressor helps maintain a consistent audio output level, reducing distortion. Select one of the following modes:

  • Med: Provides 30dB of compression, a balanced setting for most uses.
  • Madal: Provides 10dB of compression, for minimal audio leveling.

Adjust the compressor mode using the dedicated switch or buttons on the unit.

The 4-element graphic equalizer allows you to fine-tune your audio for optimal performance in FM and SSB modes, especially for DX (long-distance) communication. Adjust the sliders for the following frequencies:

  • 270 Hz
  • 540 Hz
  • 1000 Hz
  • 2000 Hz

Each element has a range of +12dB. Experiment with settings to achieve the desired audio quality for your voice and operating conditions.

6.4 Modulation Prevention Circuit

This circuit provides an audible alarm for 30 seconds if a prolonged transmission is detected. After the alarm, the unit will automatically return to receive mode to prevent accidental continuous transmission.

7. Hooldus

  • Puhastamine: Regularly wipe the microphone and base unit with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Patarei vahetus: When the battery test indicates low power, replace the 9V battery promptly to ensure consistent performance.
