Carefully remove the thermometer from its packaging. Inspect the device for any visible damage. Ensure all included components are present: the digital thermometer, a 2-piece protective storage case, and 5 disposable probe covers.

Aku paigaldamine/kontrollimine

The thermometer comes with one LR41 battery pre-installed. If the display does not activate when the power button is pressed, or if a low battery indicator appears, the battery may need replacement. To replace the battery, gently slide off the battery cap located at the end of the thermometer. Insert a new LR41 battery with the positive (+) side facing up. Securely replace the battery cap.

Ensure the thermometer probe is clean before each use. If using for oral or rectal measurement, it is recommended to apply a disposable probe cover for hygiene.

Temperatuuri mõõtmine

1. Toide sisse: Press the power button. The display will briefly show all segments, then the last measured temperature for approximately 2 seconds, followed by a flashing 'Lo' and '°F' or '°C'. This indicates the thermometer is ready for measurement.
2. Position the Thermometer:
   • Suukaudne: Place the probe tip under the tongue, as far back as comfortable. Close your lips to hold the thermometer in place.
   • Rektaalne kasutamine: Lubricate the probe tip with a water-soluble jelly. Gently insert the tip no more than 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) into the rectum. Do not force the tip.
   • Kaenlaalused (kaenlaalused) kasutamine: Place the probe tip in the armpit, ensuring direct skin contact. Hold the arm firmly against the body to keep the thermometer in place.
3. Loe ette: The thermometer will beep when the measurement is complete, typically within 60 seconds. The display will show the peak temperature. If the measured temperature is 100.0°F (37.7°C) or higher, a distinct fever alert alarm will sound.
4. Toide välja: Press the power button to turn off the thermometer. It will automatically shut off after approximately 10 minutes of inactivity to save battery life.

With the thermometer powered off, press and hold the power button for approximately 5 seconds. The display will change from '°F' to '°C' or vice versa. Release the button to select your desired temperature unit.

Mälu meenutamine

When the thermometer is powered on, the last measured temperature will be displayed for approximately 2 seconds before the 'Lo' indicator appears, allowing you to recall the previous reading.

After each use, especially if a probe cover was not used, clean the thermometer probe. Wipe the tip with a soft cloth moistened with isopropyl alcohol (70% ethanol) or soap and water. Do not immerse the entire thermometer in water or other liquids. The thermometer is water-resistant for cleaning purposes, but not fully waterproof.

Store the thermometer in its protective storage case at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, dust, and excessive humidity.
